Albert Pujols and Yadier Molina inducted into Cardinals Hall of Fame

Albert Pujols and Yadier Molina were inducted into the St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame during an emotional ceremony at Busch Stadium. The event, held before a game against the Chicago White Sox, honored the two legends as part of the franchise's class of 2026.

During the ceremony, Molina received the team's signature red jacket and delivered an extensive speech thanking coaches such as José Oquendo, Tony La Russa, and Dave Duncan, as well as his longtime battery partner Adam Wainwright. Molina also shared a personal anecdote regarding Pujols, recalling how the Dominican slugger promised to look after him early in his career.

Pujols described the induction as “one of the greatest honors” of his life and expressed his pride in being honored alongside Molina, whom he referred to as his “little brother.” The ceremony also included the posthumous induction of Bill Sherdel, a historic left-handed pitcher for the franchise.

Pujols, a key figure in the Cardinals' 2006 and 2011 World Series victories, concluded his career in 2022 after reaching the 700 home run milestone. Molina, who spent 19 seasons with the organization, was selected by fans to join this exclusive group.
