Chicago Cubs defeat Seattle Mariners 19-2

The Chicago Cubs defeated the Seattle Mariners 19-2 on Sunday, snapping a three-game losing streak. The victory was highlighted by grand slams from both Ian Happ and Pedro Ramirez, who each drove in five runs.

Despite an early 2-0 deficit, the Cubs offense surged, scoring 12 of their 19 runs in the final two innings. Michael Conforto also contributed a solo home run. While Cubs starter Shota Imanaga had a short outing, the bullpen provided seven scoreless innings of relief to secure the win.

For the Mariners, Randy Arozarena hit a first-inning home run, marking his sixth consecutive season with at least 20 home runs and 20 stolen bases, joining an elite group of players including Barry Bonds and Willie Mays. Arozarena also became the second player to hit consecutive leadoff homers with a walk-off in between, matching a feat previously achieved by Pete Crow-Armstrong.
