Chicago Cubs lose 6-5 to Seattle Mariners in extra innings

The Chicago Cubs suffered a 6-5 extra-innings loss to the Seattle Mariners, a defeat characterized by poor situational hitting. Despite recording 12 hits and four home runs, the Cubs went just 1 for 16 with runners in scoring position, leaving 11 runners on base.
