Chicago teen charged in fatal Red Line train push

A 15-year-old girl has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of 29-year-old Kyle Bickham, who was allegedly pushed from a moving Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) Red Line train on September 7.

The incident occurred near the 69th Street station on Chicago's South Side. Investigators determined that following an altercation on board the train, three individuals allegedly pushed Bickham through the doors. He fell onto the tracks, struck an electrified third rail, and was subsequently hit by another train. The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office ruled the death a homicide.

The teenage suspect faces multiple felony charges, including first-degree murder, murder by another forcible felony, mob action, and aggravated battery to a transit employee. She has been ordered to remain in custody following her appearance in juvenile court.

Bickham was traveling home to Lansing after completing a shift at an Amazon warehouse in Cicero. His family has publicly appealed for witnesses to come forward and for the other individuals allegedly involved in the attack to turn themselves in to authorities.
