Chihuahua authorities advance electoral guidelines and police human‑rights training

The National Electoral Institute (INE) in Mexico has postponed a project on political process guidelines to hold working‑group meetings with party representatives, aiming to incorporate their observations before resubmitting the document to its governing council. INE councilor Jorge Montaño Ventura said the goal is to present a consensus‑based document that political actors must ultimately follow.

Separately, the Tecnológico de Monterrey Campus Chihuahua launched a seminar for 80 officers of the municipal public‑security unit, focusing on human‑rights standards, gender perspective and family‑violence response. Specialists from the university’s School of Social Sciences and Government delivered training to strengthen legal‑compliance and protective practices for children, women and victims of abuse.
