Chihuahua authorities dismantle large suspected drug laboratory

Authorities in Chihuahua, Mexico, dismantled a suspected drug laboratory near the town of Las Lajas in the municipality of Hidalgo del Parral. The operation was a coordinated effort involving the Mexican Army, the National Guard, the State Investigation Agency, and both state and federal prosecutors.

During the raid, officials seized thousands of liters of liquid substances and approximately one ton of solid products. While exact chemical classifications are pending forensic analysis, officials noted the facility's significant scale. If used for methamphetamine production, the laboratory had an estimated capacity to produce 100 kilograms of drugs per day, equivalent to roughly 100,000 doses.

The materials have been handed over to the Attorney General's Office (FGR) for investigation. Security forces have secured the area and are conducting ongoing operations in the surrounding mountainous region to locate those responsible for the facility's operation.
