Mexico security forces conduct nationwide operations and seizures
Mexican security forces, including the Gabinete de Seguridad, have conducted extensive operations across multiple states, resulting in significant seizures and arrests. In Veracruz, authorities seized an arsenal including grenades and nearly 60,000 bags of illicit substances in Tempoal, while the state prosecutor reported over 120 legal proceedings in a single week involving various crimes.
In Sinaloa, security forces arrested Jesús Antonio “N”, identified as a logistics operator for the Sinaloa Cartel and a member of the ‘Los Chapitos’ faction, in Mazatlán. Meanwhile, coordinated efforts in Michoacán and Guerrero successfully disabled narco-laboratories, causing an estimated 7.3 billion pesos in losses to organized crime through the seizure of 10 tons of chemical precursors.
Other notable actions include the seizure of 13 tons of illegal tobacco in Mexico City and various drug and weapon confiscations in Baja California, San Luis Potosí, and Sonora. Additionally, in Puebla, the state government completed a milestone of 1,000 free cataract and pterygion surgeries through the SEDIF and the ‘Cinco de Mayo’ itinerant hospital.
