Chihuahua City expands cultural access and infrastructure
Under the administration of Mayor Marco Bonilla, Chihuahua City has implemented several initiatives to expand cultural access and support local artists. A key highlight is the Chihuahua City International Festival (FICUU), which drew over 63,000 attendees to the historic center for free music, dance, theater, and visual arts.
Infrastructure improvements include the new headquarters for the Music Conservatory, featuring 32 specialized classrooms, and the restoration of Quinta Touché, which now serves as the Águeda Lozano Museum of Contemporary Art. These projects aim to strengthen the city's cultural corridor. Additionally, the municipal government has established the Municipal Fund for Artists and Creators to provide professional support and resources to the local artistic community.
