Chihuahua Commission approves urgent medical care for injured police

The Public Security and Civil Protection Commission of the Chihuahua State Congress has approved a draft decree to guarantee immediate medical attention for public security officers injured in the line of duty.

The proposal, driven by members of the PAN Parliamentary Group, allows officers to receive urgent care at the nearest medical facility or unit, even if it is outside their specific medical service provider, using public resources. This measure aims to address cases of extreme urgency or gravity.

The project includes reforms to Article 74 of the State Public Security System Law and requires the Secretariat of Finance to make necessary budgetary adjustments. The decree will be presented to the Plenary for analysis and voting in an upcoming session.
