Chihuahua cultural institutions promote heritage and free museum access

Cultural institutions in Chihuahua are promoting local heritage through documentary screenings and free museum access. At Casa Chihuahua Centro de Patrimonio Cultural, director Luis Vargas presented his documentary, "Los hombres pájaro." The film documents the "Voladores de Papantla," an ancestral Totonac ceremony, featuring testimonies from community members like Alejandrino to preserve the tradition's meaning.

Additionally, the Secretariat of Culture has launched the "Domingo de Museos" initiative, offering free admission every Sunday to various museums across Chihuahua, Delicias, and Parral. Participating sites include Casa Chihuahua, Casa de Juárez, and Quinta Carolina in the capital; the Museo del Desierto Chihuahuense in Delicias; and the Palacio Alvarado and Casa Griensen in Parral. These venues offer exhibitions ranging from natural history and prehistoric ecosystems to Mexican Revolutionary history.
