Chihuahua education sees 1,470 graduates while 17% of textbooks remain undelivered

During the 2025‑2026 school year, 1,470 students in Chihuahua completed basic education through eight extra‑school centers (Cedex) overseen by the State Educational Services. Supervisor Roberto Alonso Carrillo reported that 1,230 earned secondary certificates and 240 finished primary, all with official validity from the national education ministry.

For the 2026‑2027 cycle, the state has received 83% of the allocated textbooks, leaving 17% (762,684 books) still pending distribution. Pre‑school materials are only 31.6% delivered, while primary textbooks lack 434,476 copies. Secondary and telesecundaria levels have received their full allotments. No legal disputes have halted distribution, though parent groups have raised concerns about content.
