Chihuahua expands education with CONALEP Saturday program and new UTCam engineering lab
The State Technical Professional Education College (CONALEP) in Chihuahua announced a new Saturday scheme that allows young people and adults who have not completed high school to earn their secondary diploma while continuing work or family duties. Classes begin on 31 August, and the program combines academic coursework with technical training to improve employability. Director Omar Bazán Flores said, “Access to education transforms lives and creates new opportunities.”
The Technological University of Camargo (UTCam) opened a Laboratory of Industrial Processes for its Industrial Engineering students. The facility provides hands‑on practice in real‑world manufacturing environments, aiming to strengthen technical competencies and better prepare graduates for the regional productive sector. Rector Julio Huerta highlighted the university’s commitment to “learning by doing” and investing in future talent.
