Chihuahua Government hosts services fair for women in Ciudad Juárez

The Chihuahua State Government, through the Subsecretaría de Desarrollo Humano y Bien Común and the Instituto Chihuahuense de la Juventud, is hosting a Services Fair for women in Ciudad Juárez. The event, held at Parque Central Poniente, aims to provide support, services, and guidance to local families.

Key offerings include the distribution of 300 ‘Welcome Kits’ for pregnant women or mothers with infants under 12 months, alongside workshops on mental health, nutrition, breastfeeding, and positive parenting. Additionally, the ‘Juntas Crecemos’ program will distribute checks of 2,000 pesos semiannually to selected mothers aged 12 to 29, complemented by entrepreneurship and life project workshops to foster autonomy.

Other services available at the fair include registration for MediChihuahua, vaccinations, medical assessments, and guidance from the Civil Registry, the Municipal Water and Sanitation Board (JMAS), and the Women's Justice Center (Cejum).
