Chihuahua Governor holds meetings on mining security and legislative reforms

Chihuahua Governor Maru Campos held a working meeting with the Chihuahua Mining Cluster (Clumin) to discuss regional development and security. The sector has accumulated over $4 billion in Foreign Direct Investment and operates in several municipalities, including Ocampo, Chínipas, and Hidalgo del Parral. Discussions focused on strengthening regional supply chains and enhancing security for mining operations and local communities. A collaboration agreement will soon be signed to integrate Clumin into the 'Plataforma Centinela' to improve coordination and prevention strategies.

Separately, Governor Campos met with parliamentary coordinators from the State Congress to discuss upcoming legislative sessions. The meetings addressed controversial constitutional reforms, including the autonomy of the State Attorney General's Office, and the selection of the new Board of Directors for the local legislature. Representatives from the PAN, Movimiento Ciudadano, and the Green Party participated in these discussions regarding the separation of powers and legislative continuity.
