Deputies considered a 150‑million‑peso loan for the first phase of the Poniente 5 roadway, a project deemed critical for urban growth, while a separate request called for detailed reporting on a 132‑million‑peso loan already authorized for a new sanitary landfill. The road‑loan vote was postponed due to staff vacations, and the landfill oversight initiative aimed to improve transparency and compliance.

A few days later, PAN legislators highlighted a different set of priorities. Deputy Jaime Torres Amaya announced measures to boost water security for agriculture, coordinating with producers, irrigation districts and state water agencies to modernize irrigation and mitigate drought impacts. Deputy Joss Vega delivered basic supplies, supported reforestation, and organized a community dance, emphasizing direct assistance to residents. The shift illustrates the legislature’s simultaneous handling of infrastructure financing and immediate community‑level programs.

By mid‑August, the legislative focus expanded to include high-level executive coordination. Governor Maru Campos met with the Chihuahua Mining Cluster to discuss regional development and security, aiming to integrate the sector into the ‘Plataforma Centinela’ to protect operations and local communities. Additionally, the Governor held meetings with parliamentary coordinators from the PAN, Movimiento Ciudadano, and the Green Party to discuss upcoming sessions, controversial constitutional reforms regarding the autonomy of the State Attorney General’s Office, and the selection of the new legislative Board of Directors.
