Chihuahua implements new housing system and social welfare programs

The state of Chihuahua has established a new housing system for state employees through the creation of the Instituto del Fondo Estatal de Vivienda. This legislation, initiated by Deputy América Victoria Aguilar Gil, includes mechanisms for financing, social leasing, and the acquisition or construction of housing. It also mandates that employer contributions to individual housing accounts are part of the workers' patrimony.

In the municipality of Meoqui, the Secretaría de Desarrollo Humano y Bien Común (SDHyBC) and local authorities have launched several social initiatives. These include the inauguration of the NutriChihuahua ‘Eulalio Gómez Flores’ community dining room, which will provide free nutritious meals to over 50 people daily. Additionally, a Temporary Occupation Program has been implemented to benefit 120 people through community improvement works, alongside the distribution of maternal and educational kits to vulnerable families.
