Chihuahua judge resigns following anti-corruption investigation

A criminal judge in the Hidalgo Judicial District of Chihuahua, identified by the initials M. J. T., has agreed to resign from his position following an investigation by the State Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.

During a judicial hearing lasting over seven hours, the judge acknowledged the charges against him and accepted the decision to be formally linked to the legal process. As part of an alternative legal solution to suspend the proceedings, the judge must immediately vacate his role as a First Instance Criminal Judge.

Additional conditions imposed include maintaining a fixed domicile, engaging in lawful employment, and reporting monthly to the Pre-Trial Services authority. The judge is also prohibited from contacting individuals involved in the investigation and must withdraw all pending legal appeals related to the case.
