Mexican regional governments distribute school supplies and textbooks

Various regional government agencies and DIF branches across Mexico are implementing programs to support students and families ahead of the new academic cycle.

In Guanajuato, Governor Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo led the distribution of over 38,000 school supply kits and backpacks in Celaya, part of a larger state initiative to provide 581,000 packages to public primary students. Similarly, in Irapuato, the Municipal DIF broke records by delivering 400 backpacks through the ‘De Tu Mano a la Escuela’ program, supported by local businesses.

In Chihuahua, multiple initiatives are underway. The Municipal DIF exceeded its ‘Reto Útil’ goal, collecting over 1,500 kits for vulnerable children in rural and primary school settings. Additionally, the state has begun distributing over 4.4 million free textbooks to more than 655,000 students. In Nuevo Casas Grandes, state-sponsored school supply packages were delivered to local primary schools to assist families with educational costs.
