Mexico and Argentina municipalities implement LED lighting upgrades

Various municipalities in Mexico and Argentina are implementing large-scale public lighting modernization programs using LED technology to improve safety and energy efficiency.

In Chihuahua, Mexico, Mayor Marco Bonilla has overseen the replacement of over 88,000 luminaires, achieving 95% LED coverage across urban and rural areas. This initiative is projected to save over 42 million pesos in electricity costs for 2025. Similarly, in San Luis Potosí, Governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona has delivered 500 LED lights to Venado and initiated the installation of over 13 kilometers of water pipeline to benefit local residents.

In Argentina, the district of Intendente Alvear is approaching 70% LED coverage following the delivery of 177 new units through a provincial plan. These upgrades aim to reduce energy consumption and optimize municipal resources.
