Chihuahua municipality introduces textile and gastronomic entrepreneurship courses

The municipal government of Chihuahua, Mexico, has launched a Technical Specialization in Textile Creation for women, teaching crochet, knitting, lacework, colorimetry and modern textile technologies to support self‑employment and entrepreneurship.

The Institute of Architecture and Design (ISAD) in Chihuahua unveiled a new Bachelor of Creative Design for Gastronomic Enterprises, combining culinary arts, design thinking, business management and regional identity to prepare graduates for launching and managing successful food‑service businesses. Both programs aim to address local market needs and reduce the high failure rate of new restaurants while fostering women's participation in the textile sector.
