Chihuahua Municipality provides 763 million pesos in business financing

The Chihuahua Municipal Government has provided over 763 million pesos in credit to 3,129 businesses of various sizes and sectors over a five-year period. These funds were distributed through two primary instruments: the Fondo Municipal para Emprendedores de Chihuahua (FOMECH) and the Impulso Municipal MiPyME program.

Resources were utilized for working capital, inventory purchases, payroll, rent, basic services, and the acquisition of machinery and equipment. Between 2022 and August 2026, the Impulso Municipal MiPyME Guarantee Fund contributed 21.4 million pesos, enabling the placement of 401.275 million pesos in credits for 202 companies.

FOMECH, operated in coordination with Desarrollo a la Microempresa A. C., offers loans ranging from 15,000 to 500,000 pesos at interest rates below market averages. During the 2024-2027 administration, FOMECH placed more than 120 million pesos in credits to benefit over 600 businesses while maintaining a delinquency rate of less than 2 percent. The fund also supports companies in obtaining international certifications such as ISO 9001 and AS 9100.
