Chihuahua Police Blend Veteran and New Officers to Boost Public Safety
The Municipal Public Security Directorate in Chihuahua is pairing newly graduated police and firefighters with veteran officers who have up to 25 years of service. Veteran officers contribute extensive experience in procedures, citizen interaction, conflict resolution and high‑impact arrests, while the newcomers bring academic training and proficiency with modern tools such as drones, tablets and computers.
Officers Iván Antonio Maldonado Hernández, with more than 24 years of service, highlighted the value of the new generation’s technological skills. Officer Pablo Miranda Olivas, with seven years on the force, emphasized the mentorship and discipline received from senior colleagues. The combined effort is intended to strengthen daily operations and improve security for families throughout Chihuahua.
