Chihuahua prosecutor hearing reveals U.S. agent involvement
Testimonies presented during the legal hearing of former Chihuahua prosecutor César Gustavo Jáuregui have revealed coordinated activities involving U.S. agents in the state starting in late 2025. More than 40 members of the State Attorney General's Office (FGE) testified that foreign agents visited the region in October 2025, January 2026, and April 2026. Evidence including hotel reservations under the name Richard Leiter Johnson and GPS data from provided vehicles suggests these agents frequently operated within the State Public Security Complex.
Witnesses also detailed a tactical training mission in Florida, United States. On April 10, 2026, several state agents traveled to Jacksonville for training in advanced pedestrian and vehicle intervention. Participants reported that the instructors wore tactical clothing without logos or insignia, making it impossible to identify their specific agency or the organizing institution.
Furthermore, testimony indicated that during an operation in El Pinal, state elements observed foreign agents entering the office of Guillermo Arturo Z. P., the former prosecutor of Strategic Operations, who is alleged to have provided weapons to the foreign personnel.
