Chihuahua rehabilitates 180,000 square meters of roads

The Municipality of Chihuahua has rehabilitated over 180,000 square meters of streets and avenues to improve circulation and pedestrian safety. The project involved an investment exceeding 62.5 million pesos across 13 different road rehabilitation works.

Key corridors addressed include Periférico De la Juventud, R. Almada, Vicente Lombardo Toledano, Boulevard Juan Pablo II, and Avenida Tecnológico. The works included resurfacing, milling, and the application of new asphalt to repair damage caused by constant traffic and atypical rainfall. Specifically, more than 26.8 million pesos were allocated to repair severe damage and sinkholes resulting from heavy rains.

Additionally, over 9.5 million pesos were used for projects in the Paseos de Chihuahua and Santo Niño sectors, which were selected by citizens through the 2025 Participatory Budget. The municipality also completed the leveling and shaping of 684,102 square meters of unpaved roads in various neighborhoods.
