Chiikawa film's second admission gift Bonbon Drop Seal to be handed out from Aug 8
The Japanese animated film "Chiikawa: The Secret of the Mermaid Island" (映画ちいかわ 人魚の島のひみつ) opened on July 24, 2026 and recorded a box‑office total of 33.3 billion yen and 2.28 million admissions in its first seven days.
From August 8, 2026, theaters across Japan will distribute a limited‑edition "Bonbon Drop Seal" as the second wave of admission‑gift items. The seal is available on a one‑per‑person basis and the giveaway ends when the allocated stock is exhausted.
The movie is based on Nagano’s manga originally posted on X, features the popular “Siren” arc, and is distributed by Toho. The related anime series has accumulated more than 500 million views on YouTube.
