Chile and Argentina Universities Launch Regional Collaboration Initiatives

The JAYMA project, a strategic alliance between the Universidad de Tarapacá and the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, began collaborative work with the regional government of Arica y Parinacota. Funded by ANID, the initiative aims to link academic research in humanities, arts and social sciences with public‑sector needs, promote social innovation, and address depopulation in rural areas of northern Chile.

In Argentina, the Universidad Nacional de Catamarca signed an agreement to implement the “Aula Amable” comprehensive educational program. The initiative seeks to create inclusive, safe school environments, prevent bullying, and strengthen socio‑emotional skills through workshops, teacher training, and artistic activities, in line with the national school coexistence law.
