Chile and Germany launch joint doctoral scholarship program

The Chilean Ministry of Science, Technology, Knowledge and Innovation, in partnership with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), has launched a new call for the ANID-DAAD Doctoral Scholarship program. This initiative provides funding for Chilean citizens to pursue doctoral studies in Germany.

The scholarship is co-financed by both institutions. The Chilean Ministry covers tuition fees, enrollment, and living expenses, while the DAAD provides health insurance, support activities, and German language courses lasting between two and six months in both Chile and Germany. Officials noted that the program aims to build advanced human capital and strengthen scientific and technological capabilities through international academic excellence.
