Chile and Mexico leaders push for solutions to recurring power outages

The forum addressed frequent electricity cuts that leave residents without power for days, and Frontel officials detailed emergency response measures, including the deployment of brigades from other regions to accelerate service restoration.

In Mexico, Governor Mauricio Kuri González of Querétaro met with CFE General Director Emilia Esther Calleja Alor in Mexico City to discuss intermittent supply and outages affecting several municipalities. Kuri sought federal support to reinforce the state’s electrical infrastructure and improve service reliability for local families, emphasizing coordination between state and federal authorities.

Both meetings reflect regional authorities seeking direct engagement with electricity providers to mitigate recurring power disruptions and improve grid resilience for their communities.
