Chile and Mexico municipalities launch free health and pet sterilization campaigns

The municipality of Alto Hospicio in Chile organized a free community health and social services fair on 6 June. Mayor Patricio Ferreira Rivera and the council invited residents of the La Tortuga sector to receive medical, dental, vaccination, legal, and social assistance, as well as veterinary care, beauty services, and support for migrants. More than 20 municipal offices were on site to provide health registration, employment help, security advice, and other public services.

In Aguascalientes, Mexico, the municipal health department announced a pet sterilization drive scheduled for 11 June. The program will offer up to 60 free surgeries for dogs and cats at the Colegio Club Conquistadores, with eligibility requirements for the animals and owners. Participants are also encouraged to donate used books for a local literacy initiative.

Both initiatives aim to improve public health and social welfare by delivering free services directly to local neighborhoods.
