Chile completes social housing projects in Palena and Valparaíso

The Presidential Provincial Delegation of Palena handed over two new social houses in the Alto Palena sector, providing permanent homes for two families and improving their quality of life. Delegated President Marcelo Cifuentes Gallegos said, “Each house delivered fulfills a long‑standing wish for many families, and we will continue to support initiatives that improve the lives of our neighbours.”

In Valparaíso, the Cerro Concepción Housing Committee received the final documentation for the full completion of works on five heritage homes under the DS27 Chapter II subsidy of the Ministry of Housing and Urbanism. The upgrades, which included electrical, gas, and structural improvements, aim to increase habitability and preserve the World Heritage Site. Executive Director Macarena Carroza highlighted the joint effort to protect both the historic environment and the wellbeing of resident families.
