Chile implements emergency water measures amid contamination and flood relief

In Chile, emergency water supply measures have been initiated in Rucapequén, Chillán Viejo, following the discovery of high contamination levels in a newly installed well. The Ñuble Presidential Delegation is distributing approximately 99,720 liters of certified potable water daily via water trucks to ensure residents have access to safe drinking water while a permanent solution is sought.

Separately, in the Coquimbo Region, the United States Embassy in Chile, through the Regional Disaster Assistance Program (RDAP), has provided 330 family kits for potable water storage to assist those affected by recent flooding. Managed by the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA), the aid was delivered to families in the Villa Los Ángeles and San Valentín areas of La Serena to support recovery efforts.
