Chile launches 2026 tourism awards and enotourism seal programs
Chile’s National Tourism Service (Sernatur) opened applications for the 11th “Más Valor Turístico 2026” contest, inviting Chilean and foreign service providers registered in the national tourism registry to submit proposals between 30 June and 19 July. The competition will select one regional project per region, then hold a national elevator‑pitch round to award two winners with a digital‑marketing kit, professional audiovisual production, national promotion and a business‑matching round with industry representatives. Sub‑secretary of Tourism María Paz Lagos said the contest aims to recognize providers that raise the quality of Chile’s tourism offer, while Sernatur director Cristóbal Benítez highlighted its focus on hospitality, visitor experience, innovation, territorial integration, sustainability and collaboration.
In a related initiative, Enoturismo Chile – Corfo awarded the 2026 “Fiestas de la Vendimia” seal to 16 organisations after they applied the updated Manual of Good Practices. The seal, now in its second year, standardises quality, safety, sustainability and territorial identity for wine‑tourism events. Of the 48 festivals held in 2026, 1.3 million visitors attended, with 822 thousand (63 %) participating in the sealed events. Lagos again emphasized the programme’s role in strengthening Chile’s enotourism identity and competitiveness. The seal aims to boost local economies, promote cultural heritage and improve visitor experiences across the country.
