Chile police agencies deepen cooperation with monument inauguration and municipal partnership
In Limache, the municipal government and the Policía de Investigaciones (PDI) marked the PDI’s anniversary by highlighting ongoing joint security initiatives, including the new BICRIM headquarters, a monthly communal safety council, and coordinated operations at local festivals.
In Punta Arenas, Carabineros and the PDI unveiled a monolith and commemorative plaque on Avenida Bulnes, symbolising their brotherhood and continuous collaboration. The ceremony was attended by regional officials, the local mayor, and security authorities, and featured a blessing by the PDI chaplain and performances by a naval band.
Both events underscore a broader effort by Chile’s law‑enforcement bodies to reinforce coordination and public safety across the country.
