Chile Police (PDI) Holds Religious Ceremonies Honoring Fallen Officers

In Iquique, the Tarapacá Police Region of the Chilean Police (PDI) celebrated its traditional Thanksgiving Mass at the Iquique Cathedral. The ceremony was attended by regional political and administrative authorities and led by Bishop Monseñor Isauro Covili, who highlighted the high public confidence in the PDI and prayed for the safety of police personnel.

In Cauquenes, provincial presidential delegate Simón Recabal joined regional PDI chief Luis Salazar for a commemorative Mass at the Liceo Bicentenario Inmaculada Concepción chapel. The service honored three local PDI martyrs – Sub‑commissioners Karina Aravena and Camila Silva and police assistant Jaime Torres – and underscored the institution’s vocation of service.
