Chile police seize 330 illegal televisions at border town of Colchane

Carabineros conducting a preventive patrol in the Escapiña sector of the border commune of Colchane intercepted a truck heading toward an unauthorized crossing to Bolivia. The driver, a 30‑year‑old man, attempted to flee but was apprehended.

Inspection of the vehicle revealed 330 televisions of various brands and sizes with no legal documentation. The driver was detained on smuggling charges, and the televisions, along with the truck, were transferred to the National Customs Service for further processing.
