Chilean agroindustry projects record exports exceeding US$3.6 billion by 2026

Chile's agroindustry is projected to reach record export levels, exceeding US$3.6 billion by 2026. According to projections from Chilealimentos presented at Fruittrade 2026, the sector is consolidating its international position.

Chile currently ranks as the 10th largest global exporter of agroindustrial fruit and vegetable products, representing approximately 3.3% of a global market valued at roughly US$102 billion. Between 2004 and 2025, the export value for the Chilean fruit and vegetable agroindustry grew by 382%, reflecting a compound annual growth rate of 7.8%.

Andrés Acevedo, general manager of Chilealimentos, stated that the industry has positioned itself as a prestigious and reliable global provider, noting that markets increasingly demand healthy and sustainable food products. To maintain this growth, the industry must focus on food safety, traceability, and sustainability.
