Chilean authorities inspect and expand supervised housing for seniors
Regional authorities in Chile have launched a supervision plan for the Supervised Housing Condominium (CVT) program to ensure proper living conditions for elderly residents. In the Valparaíso Region, officials inspected the ‘Paraíso Quillota’ complex, identifying issues such as rainwater leaks and humidity. Technical evaluations with the Superintendency of Electricity and Fuels (SEC) are being coordinated to address electrical system improvements.
The program, which includes complexes in San Antonio, El Tabo, La Ligua, and Llay-Llay, has an allocated budget exceeding 350 million pesos for 2026.
In the Maule Region, a new housing unit was delivered to a 73-year-old resident in Talca through a partnership between the Regional Presidential Delegation and the National Service for the Elderly (Senama). Officials noted that four additional CVT projects are currently in various stages of development in San Clemente, Hualañé, Licantén, and San Javier.
