Chile social benefits: Authorities urge redemption of gas coupons and subsidies

Authorities in Chile are urging citizens to claim pending government benefits and social subsidies. Under the ‘Chile Sale Adelante’ plan, the ‘Cupón de Gas’ (Gas Coupon) is available for households in the bottom 80% of the Social Household Registry to offset rising fuel costs. The deadline to redeem this $27,000 CLP benefit is September 30.

In the Atacama region, over 21,000 households that activated the gas coupon have yet to use it. Similarly, in the Ñuble region, approximately 32,923 households have not yet redeemed their benefits. In Valparaíso, more than 450,000 families have already utilized the support.

Additionally, various other social benefits remain active for mothers and families, including the ‘Bono por Hijo’, ‘Subsidio Familiar’ (SUF), and maternal subsidies. Citizens can verify uncollected amounts through digital tools provided by BancoEstado and the Instituto de Previsión Social (IPS).
