Chilean authorities urge use of gas coupons before September 30 deadline

Authorities in Chile are urging beneficiaries to use their 'Cupón de Gas' (Gas Coupon) before the deadline on Wednesday, September 30. The benefit provides a one-time contribution of $27,000 CLP intended for the purchase of liquefied gas.

In the Maule Region, officials report a 90.8% utilization rate, leaving over 35,000 households with unused funds. Similarly, in the Valparaíso Region, regional spokespeople have emphasized that any remaining balance will expire after the deadline and cannot be recovered.

The benefit can be redeemed through digital channels via the BancoEstado or RutPay applications, or through in-person transactions at authorized distributors and CajaVecina locations. If a purchase exceeds the $27,000 amount, the difference can be covered using funds from a CuentaRUT account.
