Chilean culinary heritage and innovation highlighted in Arica and Santiago
In Arica, the sixth edition of ‘El Menú de Chile’ has been launched to highlight Chile's culinary heritage. This initiative, promoted by the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Heritage through the National Service of Cultural Heritage, aims to recognize traditional recipes, products, and consumption practices that constitute the nation's gastronomic identity.
Separately, entrepreneur Mazumi González Lobos was awarded the ‘Contribution to Innovation’ prize by the Chilean Chefs Association, ‘Les Toques Blanches’, during the Food Service international fair in Santiago. González, founder of Mazumi Gourmet, was recognized for her work developing diverse products derived from lúcuma, including flour, tea, and liqueurs, utilizing dehydration and stone milling processes.
