Chilean dairy sector sees export growth and sets 2026-2027 priorities
The National Milk Commission met to analyze the recovery of the Chilean dairy sector and establish priorities for the 2026-2027 period. During 2025, dairy exports reached US$324.2 million, representing a 24.6% increase compared to 2024. In the first half of 2026, exports totaled US$166.9 million, a 9.8% increase over the same period in 2025.
Key export markets in 2025 included Mexico, the United States, Brazil, Colombia, and Peru. By the first half of 2026, the United States emerged as the leading market, while Colombia saw significant growth. The commission, led by Agriculture Minister Jaime Campos and coordinated by Odepa, focused on addressing production, consumption gaps, competitiveness, and sustainability within the dairy chain.
