Chilean educators explore neuroscience and AI integration
Educational institutions in Chile are focusing on the integration of neuroscience and artificial intelligence to enhance teaching and learning processes. At the “Horizontes en Educación” International Forum, academic Dr. Daniver Morales from the University of Santiago, Chile, emphasized that universities must bridge scientific knowledge with pedagogical practices. He noted that the challenge lies in understanding how these tools can be integrated to support research and teacher training, specifically regarding how the brain learns and how AI can be used pertinently in classrooms.
In Temuco, the Municipal Department of Education (DAEM) conducted a training seminar for school directors and technical teams focused on applying AI to leadership, educational management, and collaborative work. The program aimed to provide strategic and ethical training in using AI for administrative tasks, such as report generation and data analysis, to support decision-making. Temuco Mayor Roberto Neira highlighted the importance of using technology responsibly, ensuring that innovation supports learning without replacing human connection or the integral development of students.
