Chilean gas coupon deadline approaches for one million households

Authorities in Chile are urging families to utilize their remaining Liquefied Gas Coupon balances before the deadline on September 30. The benefit, part of the ‘Plan Chile Sale Adelante’, provides up to 27,000 pesos per household for the purchase of liquefied gas from participating distributors.

As of September 11, approximately 5.17 million households had activated the benefit. While 4.07 million have already used it, over 1 million households still have pending balances. Officials warned that any remaining funds will expire after the end of the month. New registrations are no longer possible, as the enrollment period closed on June 30.

Beneficiaries can check their available balance through the BancoEstado or RutPay applications, or use the funds in person via CajaVecina.
