Chilean government urges use of Gas Coupon before September 30

Chilean authorities in the Los Ríos Region are urging households to utilize the Gas Coupon benefit before its expiration on September 30. The program, announced by President José Antonio Kast, provides a $27,000 CLP contribution per household to assist with the purchase of liquefied gas amid rising fuel prices.

In the Los Ríos Region, 133,853 households were eligible for the benefit. Regional authorities report that 115,253 households have already used the coupon, representing 86.1% of eligible residents, while 18,600 households have yet to claim the support.
