Chilean institutions launch academic and alumni recognition programs

The Chilean Chamber of Construction (CChC) Maule, through the CChC Foundation, has opened applications for the Academic Excellence Scholarships program. The initiative, which accepts applications until November 27, aims to support the children of construction sector workers who demonstrate high academic performance. Eligible students, currently in 8th grade, must maintain a grade point average of 6.0 or higher from the first semester. The program offers up to 90% coverage of annual tuition for students in secondary education and includes pre-university program financing for those in their final year.

Separately, the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile has launched the ‘Huella UC’ call for nominations. This initiative seeks to recognize alumni who have made a significant social impact and demonstrated a commitment to the university's mission. Nominations are open to the public until August 28, targeting individuals among the university's 155,000 graduates who exhibit leadership, innovation, and service to the common good.
