Chilean Ministry of Cultures launches 450 million peso art education fund
The Chilean Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Heritage has announced the opening of the 2027 Art in Education Promotion Fund (FAE). The fund allocates 450 million pesos across two main lines and eight modalities to strengthen artistic training in educational settings and foster access, creation, and pedagogical processes related to the arts.
One line focuses on specialized early artistic training programs for children and youth aged 7 to 18, offering grants for research, talent development, and curriculum management. The second line supports artistic education and mediation programs implemented by non-school entities with proven experience.
In Atacama, the Centro Cultural Ser Humano is already utilizing FAE funding through the Fundación Proyecto Ser Humano. The center is undergoing a six-month specialized training program to enhance the pedagogical and creative tools of its teaching and mediation staff. This initiative aims to benefit approximately 500 children and young people by incorporating more critical and inclusive artistic experiences within the region.
