Chilean trade summits expand agroexport and regional business ties

Chilean export initiatives have recently focused on strengthening commercial ties within Latin America through major trade summits. In Lima, the AgroTrade & AgroNight Perú 2026 event, organized by Viveros de Chile, brought together agricultural industry representatives from Chile and Peru to discuss agroexportation, plant genetics, and vegetal material.

The event included high-level meetings at the Chilean Embassy in Peru, involving officials such as Ambassador Milenko Skoknic, ProChile, ADEX, and AGRYD. The initiative aimed to deepen agricultural complementarity and collaboration between the two nations.

Simultaneously, the Chile-Latam Bogotá 2026 Business Meeting, organized by ProChile, facilitated connections between 32 Chilean exporting companies and 61 buyers from nine Latin American markets, including Colombia, Ecuador, Brazil, and Panama. The summit resulted in 250 effective business meetings with projected commercial opportunities exceeding US$14.5 million. Participating sectors included health, packaging, non-belligerent defense, aquaculture solutions, and the forestry industry.
