Chile's EXPONOR 2026 draws 36 nations, boosting mining and energy sector

The EXPONOR 2026 exhibition in Antofagasta, Chile, hosted delegations, companies and organisations from 36 countries and featured 18 international pavilions. More than 1,380 firms displayed their products, with nearly 40% of exhibitors coming from abroad. Leading pavilions were from China, Germany, the United States and Canada, while the European Union presented a joint pavilion for the first time.

Marko Razmilic, president of the Antofagasta Industrial Association, said the participation “confirms that mining in Antofagasta is linked to the world’s main trends, technologies and investment opportunities.” EU ambassador Claudia Gintersdorfer added that the EU pavilion “showcases what Europe can offer Chile in technology, innovation and sustainability, strengthening our strategic partnership in mining.” The event aims to foster investment, technology exchange and collaborative projects across the mining, energy and industrial sectors.
