Chile’s PDI seizes drugs, weapons and arrests three in Panquehue operation
Police investigators from the MT‑0 unit of Chile’s Policía de Investigaciones (PDI) carried out simultaneous raids on five homes in the commune of Panquehue, San Felipe province. The operation, aimed at dismantling a micro‑trafficking network, resulted in the seizure of 182.75 g of cannabis sativa, 4.48 g of cocaine, a modified Bruni 92 blank‑firing pistol, five homemade 9 mm cartridges and additional ammunition of 7.62 mm and .45 caliber.
Three suspects – two men and one woman, all Chilean adults – were detained and placed under control of the Public Ministry. The provincial presidential delegate, Sebastián Caldera, said the raid was “una importante intervención de la PDI” and affirmed that similar interventions will continue to improve public safety.
The seized narcotics and weapons were valued at over 950,000 Chilean pesos, and the detainees were transferred to the San Felipe Guarantee Court for further processing.
