China and Russia leaders to meet at APEC summit in Shenzhen

The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has commented on the upcoming meetings between President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to spokesperson Guo Jiakun, these high-level contacts are intended to ensure the stable development of bilateral relations, noting that strategic leadership at the head-of-state level serves as the most important political guarantee for long-term stability between China and Russia.

The discussions are expected to take place on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, which China will host in Shenzhen this November. China has expressed its welcome for President Putin’s participation in the informal meeting of leaders and stated its readiness to work with Russia to ensure a successful APEC year.
